The basic requirements for enrollment are:
- Twelfth grade education (exceptions made)
- Tuberculosis Health Certificate
- Student must be 18 years of age or older
- Good moral character and temperate habits
- Measles-Mumps-Rubella Immunization Clearance
Entrance is open to career-minded people who, in the opinion of the school staff, would be able to obtain and utilize the skills taught for employment. Candidates are thoroughly screened and tested to determine their capabilities and career potential, desire to complete the course and work in the field.
The school admits, as regular students, persons with High School Graduation Diploma, General Education Development (GED) Certificate, or who are over the age of 18 and have the ability to benefit from the training. The ability to benefit from the training will be determined by passing an entrance test. ATB enrollment is limited to 40% of the student body.
